Being disabled often contributes to limited mobility for both the elderly and handicapped.
As required by law, public transit systems make efforts to accomodate disabled citizens in reaching their destinations.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to take advantage of the independence and flexibility provided by public transit systems. Often both seniors and individuals with disabilities can ride for a reduced fare.
